About Larimer County Criminal History

Larimer County criminal records are divided among the Sheriff's Records Department, Eighth Judicial District courts, Colorado Bureau of Investigation, Colorado Department of Corrections, and Colorado Sex Offender Registry. This private reference resource organizes those official routes so readers can identify the correct portal, counter, or phone line without confusing a booking entry with a court outcome or statewide history.

Why We Built This Site

Colorado provides several public record channels, yet the needed office changes with the event. LCSO owns sheriff reports and jail products. District and County Court clerks hold filed charges and certified outcomes. The Colorado Bureau of Investigation maintains the statewide repository, while the Colorado Department of Corrections tracks state custody and the Colorado Sex Offender Registry serves public notification. We assembled the official contacts, limits, request steps, and fees so those separate products are easier to distinguish.

What We Cannot Do

This is a privately run reference site with no connection to a Colorado court, sheriff, police department, or state agency. Its limits are firm:

  • We cannot run an official background check or pull a criminal record for anyone
  • We cannot file sealing, expungement, or records-request paperwork on your behalf
  • We cannot issue certified copies of any criminal record, court document, or rap sheet
  • We cannot give legal advice or explain how a specific charge or case applies to you
  • We cannot guarantee that each phone number, fee, or address remains current

Only the originating sheriff, court, police agency, or Colorado Bureau of Investigation can issue its official record. The document must come from that custodian.
