Colorado provides several public record channels, yet the needed office changes with the event. LCSO owns sheriff reports and jail products. District and County Court clerks hold filed charges and certified outcomes. The Colorado Bureau of Investigation maintains the statewide repository, while the Colorado Department of Corrections tracks state custody and the Colorado Sex Offender Registry serves public notification. We assembled the official contacts, limits, request steps, and fees so those separate products are easier to distinguish.

Only the originating sheriff, court, police agency, or Colorado Bureau of Investigation can issue its official record. The document must come from that custodian.
