Each is an official channel, but each answers a different question.

Gather the full legal name, date of birth, event date, arresting agency, and case or report number when known. Spellings matter. So do court class and location. A blank jail result may mean release, while a blank docket result may reflect the wrong court, a protected case, or a municipal filing. Use this order to keep a Larimer County criminal record search tied to its source.

2. Search the matching official portal with the best identifiers available.
3. Compare agency, date, case number, and court before treating two entries as the same event.

Three Larimer Criminal Record Layers

Limits of Larimer CBI Results

The $13 ICHC product is useful when the question spans Colorado, yet its limits matter. Name matching is not biometric matching. Ask the filing court for official disposition documents and submit them through CBI's correction process.

Do not approach a listed person. Call 911 for an emergency or 970-416-1985 with information. LCSO also warns that scammers claim a warrant or missed jury duty and demand payment. End the call and verify through a known official number. The November 2025 warrant-clearance event promised no arrest merely for attending, but that dated event is not a permanent policy.

Inside a Larimer County Criminal Record

A public jail profile inspected during research used identity and custody fields such as name, date of birth, jail identifiers, arrest time, arresting agency, agency case number, charge description, legal authority, docket or warrant number, bond, sentence fields, and the next court event. It did not display a full physical-description set, housing pod, or mugshot in the public layout. A court register adds case class, parties, hearings, charges, events, and disposition. Filed pleadings and certified orders still require a clerk request.

Larimer Jail Versus Colorado Prison

The Larimer County Jail holds current local custody and pretrial bookings. It has a last-name search, booking and release tabs, and a jail information line at 970-498-5200. A person sentenced to state prison may move out of that roster. Use the Colorado Department of Corrections locator for state incarceration and related status. Colorado Public Access Laws

Sealed, Expunged, and Restricted Records

Colorado generally calls the adult process sealing and the juvenile process expungement. The Judicial Branch uses different form packets for District or County Court convictions, municipal convictions, multiple convictions in one judicial district, juvenile matters, and law-enforcement contacts that were not referred. Eligibility depends on the case and outcome. A blank public search is not enough to prove that sealing occurred because spelling, scope, court choice, and reporting can also hide a match.

After an order, use the Judicial Branch's confirmation route and follow up with CBI if the repository has not updated. Sealing limits public access; it should not be described as wiping every agency record from existence.

Confirming Larimer Record Sealing

A person who expects an automatic seal should verify it through the official court channel instead of treating a public no-result as proof. Colorado Judicial provides a sealed-case confirmation interface. If the interface does not confirm the expected action, contact the filing clerk with the case number and ask what the register shows. When CBI still reports an old or unknown disposition, obtain official court documentation and use the repository correction procedure.

Larimer County Criminal Records by City

City police reports and municipal cases stay with city custodians even when a booking moves to the county jail. Fort Collins Police Services, Loveland Police, and Windsor Police each manage their own report channels. Their municipal courts handle local ordinance and traffic matters, not Larimer District Court felonies.
